The Politics and Ideology of Intellectual Property
Date: =09March 20-21, 2006
Venue: =09Hotel Renaissance, Rue du Parnasse 19, Brussels
with support from the Rockefeller Foundation and the John D. and
Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation
As part of TACD=92s series of conferences on intellectual property
issues, this conference looks at the thinking that drives current
intellectual property rule-making. Examining broad intellectual and
philosophical aspects of the debate, the meeting will examine how the
struggles over the control and ownership of the new knowledge economy
relate to concepts of ideology, in party political positions
platforms and political rhetoric. Attached you will find a
registration form, and a draft agenda with a list of confirmed speakers.
We are hereby inviting registration to the conference. Registration
is free but capacity is limited, so register as soon as possible if
you want to secure a place. We hope and aim to confirm all
registrations received.
