It's time to mark your calendar again:

  WIPO

last consultation re Broadcasting, cablecasting and webcasting treaty
in Brussels Sept 13-14, 2005 (very few NGOS invited and for the 13th
only). Invitation only.

WIPO Development Agenda meeting with NGOs on September 15, 2005 in
Geneva.  Invitation only.

WIPO IIM3 Decision on report re IIM3 September 16, 2005. Invitation
only.

WIPO general Assembly in Geneva  Sept-26 to October 5, 2005.
Decision re casting treaty will be made then. Invitation only.

WIPO SCCR November 21, 2005 in Geneva.  Date not confirmed. Any info
is welcome.

WSIS:
PrepCom-3 and intersessional period: 19-30 September 2005, Geneva
(Switzerland)

Summit in Tunis Nov 16-18, 2005
UNESCO. Convention on Cultural Diversity

I heard Wednesday, July 27, 2005, the State Department held a second
public briefing to discuss UNESCO Convention on Cultural Diversity.
Any info is welcome.

Single remaining reference to IPR, article 17 of the Preamble:
"Recognizing the importance of intellectual property rights in
sustaining those involved in cultural creativity."

The  final text of the proposed Convention on Cultural Diversity
(CCD), to be submitted to the UNESCO General Assembly , the 33rd
session of the General Conference that will take place from 3 to 21
October, 2005 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris (France).
