The French South-eastern Bar Association Training Centre, the Bar
Association of Marseille and the Association Euro-Counsels are
organising a conference entitled "Copyright and the digital copy, what
is the system's future?" ("Le droit d'auteur et la copie num=E9rique, quel
avenir pour le syst=E8me?"), to be held in Marseille (France) on 8th and
9th June 2005.

The topics presented at this conference will include private copying,
the fight against counterfeiting, copyright, etc.

This is a bout the proposed legislation on copyright and related rights
   and the implementation of EU directive 2001/29 22 MAY 2001 SUR
L=92HARMONISATION DE CERTAINS ASPECTS DU DROIT D=92AUTEUR ET DES DROITS
VOISINS DANS LA SOCI=C9T=C9 DE L=92INFORMATION.  This is a controversial
legislation that will deal with private copying rights and use of TPMs.

The proposed legislation (Nov 2003) will be examined by the French
National Assembly in June 2005.
