Michael and all,

  This seems to me to be a very good direction for Italy and other
EU nations to move towards.  My wonder and dismay is that
the EU and in particular Italy in this instance seems to have a one-up
on the US in this particular area.  I also wonder if the FTC and the FCC
have been keeping themselves aware of these developments as they are
likely to impact the US's trade with the EU in the near term...
