The FTC brought a spam case against Brian Westby, the so-called "married
but lonely" spammer. The suit alleges fraudulent business practices
because the email contain deceptive subject lines and because the sending
addresses are spoofed. This is apparently new territory for the FTC.
If this is successful, will it make commercial email that doesn't have a
valid return address potentially illegal?
