Yahoo Japan has begun the service that a successful bidder at the auction
could pay using a credit card, on January 27, 2003. A credit card
transaction can be used only in dealings with a card issuer's member's store
in principle. However, Yahoo Japan enabled use of a credit card transaction
by collateralizing the safety of settlement of accounts.
The successful bidder of an auction ends his payment by inputting a credit
card number.
Yahoo! restricts to use the account by an exhibitor who caused many troubles
unresolved.
An exhibitor does not need to exhibit an account number to a successful
bidder. Information of payment is sent to the bidder by the E-mail from
Yahoo!.
Yahoo Japan began public presentation of account numbers, such as a bank
specified as a transfer place, and an account name about the exhibitor to
whom many troubles are reported, on January 22, 2003. The service which
enables credit card use of a successful bidder is considered to be a part of
a measure which secures the safety of dealings.
