The Federal Trade Commission and other groups plan to announce major
international enforcement actions that they have taken against spammers
and Net fraudsters. In a news conference April 2, the FTC, officials in
the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia and state
attorneys general in Alaska, Idaho, Washington and Wyoming will talk
about their international initiative that has targeted deceptive junk
e-mail and online fraud. The move is part of the FTC ongoing enforcement
of Internet fraud an deceptive e-mail marketing.
