Dear Friends,
Dr. Bell has provided us with an extremely useful abstract (in a
previous mail), which shows that TCDD exposure depletes the Ah receptor.
Previous research has shown that the Ah receptor is critically important
for immune health and is apparently one of the biological pieces in the
conversion of tryptophan to seratonin. Thus, if one follows the logic,
exposure to TCDD might be a causative or contributory factor in immunity
decline and in seratonin-deficiency clinical depression.
