[Am-info] Shutting down the e-list

Hi Gene,

I read your recent e-mail about closing down AM-INFO.

You listed the number of posters for November 2004, however
you did not list the number of subscribers who may or may not
read the posts.

I have no compunction one way or the other, but if you or a
majority of participants decide ending the service is the right thing,
that's OK with me.  If you keep it alive I can still always unsubscribe 
or filter stuff (or posters) to my electronic trash bucket, or to the
footnotes of my sacred diary I may someday publish.

However, if you do close it down, I'd like to know about access
to its archives.  If it were available in one big "zip" file somewhere,
that would be nice, too.  The AM-INFO list is public domain, isn't it?
