I was someone who very much disapproved of the protesting during that war. 
In hind sight it now has been sproven that it was Mr. Kissinger working at
the behest of Mr. Nixon that in fact prolonged the war in Vietnam so that
Mr. Humphrey would be deprived of the benefit of being part of the
administration that ended it.  Same illegal activity that Mr.s Reagan and
Bush partook in in regard to the Iran hostages to defeat Carter.  They
both basically told our enemies that once they were in office they would
work out a better deal.  As private citizens that is against the law. 
Anyone else would have been arrested for these highly illegal (and
treasonous) acts.  Weird how they falsely accuse Kerry of treason yet put
these real criminals on a pedestal.
