BALLMER SLAMS LINUX AS LACKING INNOVATION

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer had a captive audience yesterday at the
company's Worldwide Partner Conference, taking aim at Linux and
Novell, which he said Microsoft partners could have a field day
taking new customers. As for Linux, Ballmer said it has not been much
more than a Unix clone, bereft of "breakthrough technology."
