[Am-info] QUESTION - Should this list go away?

Ralph Nader has picked a vice president running mate
for his Green Party.

This is one step more than I will tolerate.

The AM-INFO list is hosted by Ralph Nader's organization,
Essential Information -- as http://www.essential.org/.

As much as I applaud and support many of its activities,
I will no longer be associated with an organization
controlled by Nader.

So. A hard look at AM-INFO.

Six months ago, there were about 100 messages per month
posted to the list. That has steadily declined to about
60. In April (the last month I have figures), there
were 63 messages posted. The top ten posters were:

     41 fmiller@lightlink.com
      5 gene.gaines@gainesgroup.com
      5 eandrews@star.net
      4 rcb@bix.org
      3 jjurban@attglobal.net
      2 scarter@hticn.com
      1 reiser@namesys.com
      1 davisf@union.edu
      1 am-info-admin@lists.essential.org

To admin this, I have to wade through and delete
individually about 150 SPAM emails a month.

I propose we do one of the following:

[ ] 1. Terminate the list.

[ ] 2. Alternatively, move it to another host, which I
       can arrange.

[ ] 3. Turn the admin responsibility over to someone else.

[ ] 4. Other action.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE DONE?

MAKE COMMENTS TO THE LIST IF YOU WISH, BUT PLEASE SEND
ME AN EMAIL PRIVATELY WITH YOUR CHOICE 1, 2, 3, OR 4
OF THE ABOVE.

There are quite a number of resources on the Internet that
track Microsoft. If our choice is to kill the list, I
will assemble a list of other Microsoft-following sources
before we all say goodbye.
