While I do think MS is a particularly heinous Corp, in this regard 
they're simply
 like all the rest - they've got to show earnings growth or the stock 
will go down.

Yeah right. The people in this country are so damn stupid that nearly 
half them still
support Mr Bush even though his policies adversely effect the vast 
majority of the
people. What are all these rebellious employees going to do that will be 
so ugly?
Go some where else? Where? All companies are reducing employee benefits.
Refuse to train their offshore replacements? Not even that because they 
won't
get their severance.

In case you haven't figured it out, Corps have us over a barrel. We need 
to pay our bills.
Unless we act in a concerted fashion we're too weak to fight back. 
Instead of thinking about
practical policies that will benefit them, people get all hung up on 
moronic dogma (Evangelicals)
and half-ass ed philosophies (Libertarians), or they simply don't care 
because they're overwhelmed.
