I have no idea whether IBM is involved in this or not, but ...

Never, NEVER underestimate the stupidity of IBM executives.

IBM promotes and supports their major competitor's products over their
own admittedly superior ones.

IBM treats its most loyal customers like dirt.

IBM treats its most loyal partners like lepers.

And in my case, IBM managers have advised my customers NOT to buy my
software simply because it is IBM-based. They advised them to buy a
Windows-based system instead of mine.

IBM betrayed their friends and helped their enemies. They did it with
OS/2 and they will do it again with Linux. Don't ever expect IBM to
keep its word or committments when Microsoft applies pressure to them.
They are cowards who abandoned all their principles, no matter what the
consequences.

These are not indicators of a management team that knows its way. These
are indicators of poltroons at the helm of IBM.

Honestly, who looks to IBM today for leadership? When IBM speaks today,
who cares?

These dodos, in time, will cause the demise of the once-great IBM. It
wouldn't surprise me if IBM, at the order of Microsoft, would support
SCO in its attacks on Linux, even if it involves harming its own stated
interests.
