I see typical MS procedure in operation here. From what I understand,
MS' "Caller ID" is just a more bloated version of SPF wrapped into
XML. Conveniently, MS has applied for a patent on "Caller ID":

Perhaps they want to use XML for this purpose because they have also
received a patent on certain uses of XML:

Even if this patent doesn't cover "Caller ID" use of XML, it shows
that Microsoft is playing their usual game of trying to exert control,
if not ownership, over standards.
