If Microsoft would just fix their damn crapware to stop allowing these
viruses to turn every windoze system into a SPAM generator, a lot of the
problems would go away. How much real SPAM do you get? I get a couple
hundred SPAM type messages a day now. I don't bother to look at the vast
majority. Maybe half of it is nitwit stuff with subjects like "Hi" and
just some stupid virys attachment or HTML. Another third is autoresponses
from nitwit ISPs telling me I sent a virus attachment, when in fact the
email they received was from some unknowing windoze user spoofing my
address.

Instead of fixing the damn problem they now propose some unworkable new
system that will probably require everyone to use the platform that is
causing the bulk of the problem to begin with. And the script kiddies
will have it hacked before it goes live anyway.

Short of a world-wide death penalty for commercial SPAMmers, I don't see
anything stopping them, except people stop responding to it. Once there
is no economic gain, it will stop. I never respond to SPAM. Not even the
fake "unsubscribe" URLs. Do people really believe they can make millions
at home or get illegal or even legal but prescription drugs over the
internet? Are people really so stupid? Maybe requiring an intelligence
test before allowing anyone to operate a computer might help.

The only good windoze box is a dead one.

Mark
