First, I will talk to Fred Miller about what is he posting.
I agree that we don't need Linux news here, and posting news
items is a waste of readers bandwidth unless directly on
the subject of Microsoft and its activities relating to
antitrust and market domination.
That said, I just read two very interesting news bits in
a news email from CNET.
1. Linux brings in $2.5 billion for HP
Hewlett-Packard says it garnered $2.5 billion selling
Linux-related products and services in 2003.

2. Web ad sales to hit $6.9 billion
Internet ad sales will rise by 12 percent to $6.9 billion
this year, buoyed by expected economic growth and the industry's
own improving reputation.

Damn. There is a significant message there.
Seems to me that IBM, HP, Dell and Gateway are all taking steps to
move beyond Microsoft domination.
