The legislation =E2=80=94 introduced by ACT Democrats MP Roslyn Dundas =E2=

by the 17-member Legislative Assembly, and passed with the support of the=20
Greens and Independents.=20
Ms Dundas' Bill calls for government to "consider" the purchase of open sou=
rce=20
software in procurement plans. The original version of the Bill would have=
=20
required the ACT to "prefer" open source software."
