The "Halloween" series of documents all relate in some way to
Microsoft's responces to open source.  Since Microsoft has paid
millions of dollars to SCO for their questionable licences where,
historically, Microsoft would have been fighting tooth and nail
against paying anything, many see these fees as funding for SCO's IBM
lawsuit and general troublemaking against Linux.  Thus, even though
the topic of the paper is the SCO vs. IBM lawsuit, it has status as a
"Halloween" document.  It picks apart SCO's suit pretty well.  My
favourite part is where they find a Darl McBride interview from 2002
where he says that open source software like Linux impresses him.
