amendment to a Federal Trade Commission reauthorization bill requiring
DMCA subpoenas be used only after a copyright holder has filed a civil
lawsuit or other court action. Brownback withdrew the amendment after
McCain said he would hold a hearing on the matter."


Maybe now they will see that giving the RIAA and other such mafia like
organizations to much power to do harm is a bad thing after all.
