The IT industry will remain "depressed" as long as Microsoft retains its stranglehold.
And Linux is NOT the answer. Replacing Windows with Linux would just transfer the stagnation
to a different platform.
Heterogeneity and diversity in Operating Systems and Applications are the answers.
