I have always suspected that Thomas and Anita slept together, had an 
affair, she asked him to divorce his wife, he said no, she was very hurt 
by it.

Under this scenario, not only did Thomas make the sexual remarks Anita 
says he did, but they were normal remarks between two persons having an 
affair.  Of course, Thomas couldn't admit to any of this, and so.... circus.

I have absolutely no evidence of any of this --- it just makes 
everything fit perfectly is all.
