The worst part about this? Apple's lost millions of customers over the 
years for one reason or another. So why did Microsoft's PR people see the 
need to fabricate one? Laziness?

Another question: What, in the end, was Microsoft trying to say with this 
abortive campaign? Is Apple now the "team to beat?"
