[Am-info] Gene, we need a ruling - Spam and the list

Last say on this, as I've not taken the time to unsub just yet.

I'm subscribed to a ton of lists. I get in excess of 200+ emails a day,
and that's not counting my work email. I'm on various Linux related
lists, so I get all that info.

Gene, you are just plain wrong, I'm sorry. You are not moderating this
list. Check any of the MILLIONS of listserve FAQ's out there and you'll
see that what Fred has been doing is completely taboo. Just change the
name of the bloody list to 'what ever the f*k you want to post' list and
all will be well.

The name of the list is Appraising Microsoft. Fred constanly posts
stuff that has nothing to do with Microsoft. He's started to try and
pepper his posts with links, and that's been a poor facade. Damn, one of
Fred's posting not long ago was about Enron or Worldcom execs being
arrested.

Don't get me wrong, he posts relevant stuff at times, unfortunately, the
stuff he does post regarding M$ is stuff I've often NOT seen.

There appears to be enough people on the list who really don't care, so
leave it as it is. But, by damn, change the name of the list, because
other folks will subscribe, then wonder if they got hooked to wrong list.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
