[Am-info] Gene, we need a ruling - Spam and the list

Whoa!
Gene, we need a ruling. I have enjoyed Geoffrey's contributions to this list
from it's inception, and this shouldn't have to happen. Fred, on the other
hand, has become more a source of spam then of essential information.
We took a poll on Fred, gave him a reprieve, and the amount of spurious mail
seemed to wane, but now we're back to too much OT traffic. I say ban Fred,
keep Geoffrey. Fred has outstayed his welcome with these continual postings.
If he can curb this behaviour and lurk, fine, but I too subscribe (as does
the majority of this list) to multiple sources of information, and I've yet
to see anything *new* or novel from his postings. It's not as bad as our
bundling buddy (ol' Louie Mettler), but it is getting there...
What say the list?
Waiting for a ruling,
Jeff

Well I've had enough of it. The noise ratio generated by the unrelated
postings by Fred, have me deciding to unsub. I'm a Linux advocate to,
but I'm not on this damn list for that purpose. Being a Linux user, I
get all this elsewhere. I don't need it twice.
Thanks Fred.
It's been nice folks.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
