MSFT closed down again today. The stock is having trouble staying above
$50.
I'm not a technical expert, but I know that one technique is to draw
lines connecting recent highs and recent lows for a stock. In MSFT's
case, the highs are trending lower and the lows are trending lower.
This is an indicator of further drops to follow.
One more cheery note for MSFT shareholders - except for one week around
January 1, 2001, anyone who bought MSFT in the *last four years* and has
held it has lost money. And those who bought in Jan, 2001 have only
made about 5 bucks in almost 2 years
Gates can see this. That's why he's dumping his Microsoft holdings and
buying Pfizer, Home Depot, etc.
To paraphrase:
"Microsoft - how much do you want to lose today?"
- or -
"When is a good time to buy Microsoft? Not lately!"
