Dunno 'bout that...but let me ask again:  do you know anyone who's
got the skinny on what Wal-Mart will do?

I only wonder because I was thnking about getting my youngest
(recently married) daughter a box with nothing on it...then maybe
doing eCS.  She used to be an OS/2 user because of me, and still
believes me (and us), about security, if nothing else.  Hates Windows
at work.  I'll put Linux or FreeBSD on it if she wants.

300 bucks is less than $300+Windows...and XP is not even considered.
