This may be unfair to the McDonald brothers whose name the fast food
chain borrows, but I just saw this quote on my 'fortune' command and
it seems apropos:

It is ridiculous to call this an industry.  This is not.  This is rat eat
rat, dog eat dog.  I'll kill 'em, and I'm going to kill 'em before they
kill me.  You're talking about the American way of survival of the fittest.

Anyone know if Kroc really said this?  Anyhow, I'm sure when Microsoft
talks about "what's good for the industry", insiders will have no
trouble coming up with a suitable translation for that particular
"micro-speak".
