The point really isn't how much they charge for one of those licences,
but that they charge anything at all for those licences. It's inherently
slanted towards proprietary software vendors and neatly locks out free
software (or software libre) projects which generally don't or can't bill
"customers" per server. That's of course apart from the point of Microsoft
making revenue out of what's allegedly a punishment for their abusive
monopolistic practices.
