Geoffrey et al,
I would suggest looking into this very carefully before
popping off a message of support to IMS - ISC.
There are a number of strange statements in the email
forwarded from Carl Malamud.
I won't take time to counter them here, suffice to say
that I believe he left the bare truth somewhere behind.
Lots of money to be made in a registry!
In thinking you are fighting a monopoly (I suppose he
is refering to Verisign, which I agree is an unhealty
monopoly) you might be playing into the hands of
people whose interest really is other than holding
.org in an open, public trust. I really, really don't
like what I read in that little email!
