It is a fairly powerful box, but I'm not sure if you could get Linux to
boot on one. The way most console manufacturers control what makes it
onto their box is by controlling the boot format of the media
drive/slot. XBox is no different in that regard, I think. Even Sony's
Linux Kit has to use a special DVD to boot off of the hard drive, IIRC.
There is something odd, I remember, about how to start it up.
Also, you need to buy a $30 accessory to use the DVD player as a DVD
player. I think they did this to escape per unit DVDCCA licensing fees.
