I'm quite concerned by the following statement I read on:
http://news.ft.com/ft/gx.cgi/ftc?pagename=View&c=Article&cid=FT3X7ZYY81D&live=true&tagid=IXLB0PYY8CC
"Mr James said US courts had established that monopoly leveraging
actually benefits consumers, who can enjoy better service and consistent
quality."
Is this true Mr. James? That is, is it true you made this statement? I
would appreciate pointers to court documents that indicate this is the case.
I assure you I'm not reaping any benefits from the Microsoft monopoly
leveraging. I find this statement absolutely ludicrous. Are you
confused? 'Better service and consistent quality?' Sounds like a
statement by an employee of Microsoft, not the top antitrust enforcer.
I am forced to work with Microsoft products every day because of their
monopoly. My experiences are poor quality, inconsistency, instability.
Service? What service? Have you ever attempted to contact Microsoft
for service? Please, I invite you to come spend a couple of days in the
real world. The world of corrupted data, insecure Operating Systems,
viri transporting software, continuous reinstallations. Return to
reality PLEASE. You really need to reassess your position here.
It's a sad day Mr. James. A government run by the corporations, for the
corporations...

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
