[Am-info] Legal monopoly?

Once the Anti-trust trial is done and dusted, does Microsoft suddenly
become a legal monopoly?

It has been described as an illegal monopoly, not sure if this was stated
in the Findings of Fact, but if it was an illegal monopoly, and the courts
do nothing about stopping the monopoly, which looks fairly certain, then
it must subsequently be deemed to be a legal monopoly. In effect this
means it would escape any future prosecution under the Anti-trust laws,
because Bill Gates would argue that the courts had legitimised Microsoft's
status.

This is truly scary, as it gives Microsoft the right to leverage all their
existing monopolies to establish themselves in new markets and
systematically take them over as well.
