[Am-info] Microsoft to take over ITV Digital in UK

There is a report in today's Observer (UK) about Microsoft taking over ITV 
Digital... A recently failed digital TV company.

Personally, I'm not sure what I think about this, since it sounds like 
quite a loss making venture, however I can't help thinking that Tony Blair 
will end up handing out money to his friend Bill Gates, in an attempt to 
make it work. 

This aspect of any potential deal is the scary part of it.

The UK tax payer is already paying over the odds for a Microsoft based UK 
Government online system. We will soon have a National Health Service IT 
System developed by Microsoft... It would be nice to find out how much 
of this country's public expenditure goes into Bill Gates pocket.
