The Register,

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/24955.html

hints of Gates getting "quite a grilling", even if not a measure
of desperation...

"Only three names have been put forward to testify this week,
compared to seven last week, suggesting that Microsoft expects
Gates to get quite a grilling at the hands of the states' attorneys,
as well under examination by its own lawyers. "

...though I don't know if it will be on TV news tonight.
