Hi Fred,

Welcome to the real world! Now you know how we Europeans feel when a brain-=
dead piece of software insists that "standard" is something measuring 216 *=
 279 mm (that's 8.5" * 11" to those of you who missed the advent of the 21s=
t century).

Joking aside, my software assumes that "standard" is whatever the operating=
 system (/2) reports it to be for the printer I select. It's kinda simple, =
but very effective. And it has been that for more than a decade. Perhaps yo=
u should try it. <g>

As another aside, if you'll take a moment to consider the elegance of the A=
 paper size system (in which A0 measures one square metre, with each smalle=
r size measuring half the next larger size in surface area as well as havin=
g exactly the same proportions), you might reconsider and perhaps even star=
t a campaign to drag the "New World" into the present century, measurement-=
wise. I know, it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it...
