Just a follow on:

I bought and paid for their other product, CrossOver Plugin, which
allows one to use netscape browser plugins written for the Windows OSes
in Linux with Mozilla. I may have written to the list about this at the
time, but it's one of the nicest things to finally be able to see
Quicktime movies (using the Sorenson codec, which isn't available for
linux) on my Linux boxes.

If this product is anything like the quality of the crossover plugin,
then this will be an excellent choice if you're running Linux but can't
get away from Word (like me at work).

I'm checking to see if my office will pay for the product, since we've
already paid for the Office license. I'll post if people are interested
in the results.

On a related note, my quest for a non-Word Mac OS X word processor that
makes me happy is still a failure. I miss the silly outline feature in
Word too much to use anything else, and the other choices I've found
aren't much different than Appleworks to justify the cost (even 20 or 30
dollars). I may just spring for Word, except that the $369.95 price tag
is a bit steep.... considering the full Office suite is only $100
more...
