Candidates for U.S> Senate are required to file reports with the
federal elections commission, I believe.  In the current atmosphere, I
am not sure whether any federal agency will release any information on
anything to anybody.  Ashcroft has all but declared the Freedom of
Information Act a terrorist tool.
