Ayn Rand is rumored to be popular at Microsoft.
It is worth understanding that Ayn Rand was from St. Petersburg, Russia,
and this makes her views regarding the masses attacking the elites
rather understandable. Libertarianism has always failed to perceive
that most markets are not fully competitive but semi-competitive, that
monopolies are no better than government controlled markets, and that
free market economic theories are only a first approximation to
describing reality.
