Ayn Rand worte several novels in the 30's and 40's, with the theme of one
man triumphing against the "collective".    She was anti-communistic and
pro-captialist in the extreme.  Those who run the Ann Rand Institute are
even further on the fringe.

I doubt it.  I doubt gates has any idea who Ayn Rand was since there's no
profit in it.  Though with their philosophy I can see them backing bill
gates as a self-made man against the greedy masses who are out to destroy
all he has built.   I doubt they care much about all the businesses he
destroyed and crimes he committed building his empire.
