I believe they are, from http://www.beincorporated.com/ :
At the special meeting of stockholders, held on November 12, 2001, Be's
stockholders approved the sale of substantially all of its intellectual
property and other technology assets to Palm, Inc. and the dissolution
of Be through the adoption of a plan of dissolution. Under the asset
purchase agreement that closed on November 13, 2001, Be received Palm
common stock valued at $11,000,000 and as announced Be sold for cash the
Palm shares promptly following the closing. Following the sale of the
shares, Be intends to pay all of its outstanding liabilities and
obligations in accordance with applicable law and the plan of dissolution.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
