I have just read about DOJ's argument for its "settlement" with MS in the
Register and WSJ. It reminds me of Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman
Empire. I first read an abridgement of it, before I read the whole book.
But in the abridgment the word "pusilanimous" kept appearing in describing
certain people and events. I finally pulled out the dictionary and looked
up the word. It is a "contemptible cowardice". The more things change,
the more they remain the same.

I think the settlement will not be approved.
