[Am-info] Bank chief blasts Microsoft and IT industry

Remember the Commonwealth Bank was involved about 5 years ago in a switch to NT from OS/2.
The switch was promised and attempted by Microsoft advisors. After a few hundred million dollars,
all the Microsoft cronies were fired, and IBM was hired to fix the mess that the Microsoft people had
left.
IBM replaced all the NT servers with OS/2 again and got the company back up. This resulted in a
quarterly loss for that bank when all other banks were recording record profits. What was really
hilarious was that Microsoft was touting the Commonwealth Bank as an example of how to replace
existing OS/2 infrastructure with NT. It was an embarrassing failure.
