Where do News media companies such as broadcasters get their news?

It would be nice to provide someone like the BBC with a constant stream of 
security exploits in Microsoft software.

One of the great problems for computer people is that we see a different 
view of the world and many stories we cite never make it into the general 
press arena. When there is a finanial scandal of some sort or a couple of 
chemical companies are accused of carving up the market place it's hedline 
news, whereas, Microsoft with it's Teflon coating appears invisible from 
scandal 'where it matters'. How can this be corrected?

How do we get the word out to some big time journalist?
