Au contraire.  I believe you are plagarising the apocorphal expression,
that "sometime a cigar is only a cigar."  Freud wrote a book about jokes, 
"Wit and Its Relationship To the Unconscious."  As we structure dreams, so
we structure jokes.  This knowledge helps me understand the Philistines
who do not appreciate my humor.  Obviously their unconscious has not been
battered enough. Does Bill Gates even dream?
