I'm going to put up results of my own testing/poking around with this
problem.

Two notes: I haven't done any web searching for similar comparisons
(except for a quick 2 minute one yesterday). If anyone knows of any
similar comparison, or other pointers, I would appreciate it.
Secondly, I will probably add a subjective section, for example
useability, etc. I will probably be a bad judge for the Mac software,
since one of my huge pet peeves is the general lack of context menus in
a lot of these packages. Too much extraneous mouse movement for me
(since a lot of things also seem to lack thorough keyboard bindings).
So, it might be nice to have a set of several opinions on this.
Oh yeah, I haven't linked this page into my web site, so aside from the
am-info archives, this won't get publicized anywhere. If people on this
list are interested, I would like to run some passes by everyone before
linking into the rest of my site.
Finally, one of the features I think is missing is Word compatibility
(or ability to read word docs). It's a Tier 2 feature, at least until
OpenOffice et al come up with a common file format that maybe we can
pressure Apple, Corel, and others to support...
