I'll be honest... aside from major new stories ("OS X released" type
things), I didn't pay attention. I would be willing to believe that a
large number of Unix professionals and hobbyists like myself did not,
and still do not know the real beauty of what Apple has done.

PS. for those skeptics out there, I'm not saying OS X is perfect or even
everything I'd ever want in an OS. All I'm saying is that if you
haven't really tried to use it for a few days, especially if you're a
Unix/Linux guy, you don't know what you're missing. Worst case, you see
where the Linux desktop will be in a few years. Best case, you see the
strength of having a well-integrated GUI with the heart of a BSD Unix.
Heck, maybe you'll get so convinced that you pick up an Apple. :-)
