Why get on a doomed train?
Today from Tech Republic's IT News Digest:
Just a day after a similar virus demonstrated the vulnerability of
Macromedia Flash movies, a virus capable of infecting a class of
files used in Microsoft's new .NET initiative was sent to antivirus
firm Symantec on Wednesday. The virus, dubbed W32.Donut, does
little more than announce that it has infected files based on the
Microsoft .NET Intermediate Language (MSIL). Unlike the Macromedia
Flash virus, which was delivered anonymously, the W32.Donut file
discloses the identity of the author, whose name was withheld by
Symantec.
