That's nice, but I say "It's about time, Ralph."

I remember talking about Gates' tax scamming years ago.  My arguments
went something like this:

The average Joe pays about 17-20% of his income to the Feds.

Gates is worth, what $50 billion, which he accumulated over the last 10
or so years.  That comes to $5 billion per year.

Now did Gates pay 20% of that $5 billion each year?  That would be about
$1 billion each year, if Gates were to pay taxes as the rest of us have
to do.

I bet dollars to doughnuts that Gates NEVER paid more than a few million
in Fed taxes - probably less than 1% of his accumulated wealth each
year.

So we ordinary grunts pay 17% while the richest man on the planet pays
less than 1%?
