Lots more, as in ____? Real's support for the Mac isn't exactly stunning, 
so it's difficult to imagine that they're doing great work for other 
alternative platforms.

I'm not aware of any reverse-engineered Real players. Just converting is 
major headache -- only Streambox Ripper was capable of converting RA to 
anything else. They were sued, and the feature was removed. Now all we've 
got are a plugin for Winamp and a freestanding shareware app -- both 
Windows only, of course.
